Soooo, I Was Wrong
So for those who don’t know, the Italian Grand Prix was live-streamed this morning at 8 am CST. I watched both the Qualifying and Sprint Race last night and…
I was GREATLY disappointed
As we expected the top three in both Qualifying and Sprint Race were Verstappen, Leclerc, and Perez. With Verstappen taking pole position on both Qualifying and Sprint Race.
This was not surprising to me, and quite frankly, I expected it. Verstappen and Leclerc have been swapping positions the whole season and so I was unhappy, but not surprised.
A surprising thing that did happen is this: Leclerc spun out and tapped the wall but by some miracle, he taps the wall perfectly. All he needed was a tire and wing change. He makes his way to the pits and gets his changes done to his car and falls back to 8th. Thankfully he makes his way to 6th.
But that’s not what I’m writing this for.
What I’m writing this article for is the hurtful truth that Mercedes still has not gotten their act together. You would think that after 4 races they would figure out the issue with their engines.
But no, they still SUCK.
Lewis has been coming in some pretty SUCKY places this year due to a trash car and even trashier ←(not an actual word) engine, but during the Australian Grand Prix, I gained a bit of hope.
I thought, and even wrote an article about the fact that they just might be getting in the grove. I was wrong.
Hamilton: Stinkin’ 14th
What is going on?
Then to make matters worse, Verstappen laps him while he’s in 14th place! That’s just humiliating.
Imagine having a super epic battle all year, you lose by the skin of your teeth because of a stupid error on the race director’s part, then you get lapped the next year in 14th place.
Unbelievable, and embarrassing.
I’m just saying, whoever is responsible for the engine suckiness ←(also not an actual word) should be ashamed.
