Will This Be The Craziest Race In History?
I think we can all agree that the F1's 2021 season is a season to remember due to the extreme rivalry between Redbull's Max Verstappen and Mercedes Lewis Hamilton.
Penalties, accusations, anger, and spite have been the highlights of this wild season, and in this upcoming race, I have a gut feeling we'll be seeing the same action.
With both racers tied at 369.5 points, we can expect them to up their game and become more aggressive through turns and straights.
Assumptions and rumors are off the rails on social media. Some predict that if Max has the opportunity, he will try to run both Lewis and himself off the track to give him a secured win. But these predictions are, of course, just opinions and assumptions.
With Hamilton being very cool-headed and skilled and Verstappen being aggressive and ambitious, this season's end is going to be a race to remember and cry over for F1 fans, whether it be tears of joy or anger.
If you live in the US, this race will start very early, so if you're not an early bird, get ready to fill up on caffeine and whatever else you need to keep yourself awake, but if this race lives up to its expectations, you won't need to.
With Verstappen first on the grid, it's a question of whether he can keep that spot and win his very first championship or lose and have to wait another year to try again.
If Hamilton can make his way past Verstappen, he will win his 8th (yes, I said 8th) Championship title, the most Championship wins in F1 history, and more than Michael Schumacher.
Many speculations have been made on Mercedes's strategy for this race. How will Hamilton’s pace be? And will it be enough to overtake Verstappen on the starting lap?
Questions that no one can answer before the race have been running wild. Questions like: Will Hamilton overtake Verstappen, and if he does, how will Verstappen react? Is next year going to be as crazy as this? and will the Stewarts be fair if things go wrong?
All these questions will not and cannot be answered until the end of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and although I have my own opinions and questions, I am patient enough to wait until the main event.
Now, we wait…
