There are thousands of car YouTube channels out there floating in the endless universe of YouTube. Some are great and some are not so good.

I’ve been watching car enthusiast YouTube channels since I discovered my passion for cars and racing but none of them really spoke to me.

Some of the ones that I had seen kinda annoyed me because it almost felt like they were just showing off their cars or the fact that they got to drive the said car.

This is not to say there are not other awesome channels that are doing a great job with their content, I just didn’t find many that were to my standards.

So one day I’m at home and bored as heck (Which is not hard for me considering that I like to be out and doing something). I was off work and I had just finished my book.

I had given up on finding any car or racing channel but I figured I’d look again. After almost an hour of scrolling through recommendations, trying not to fall asleep, and watching JDM cars roll through the streets of Dubai, I finally found one that kept my attention.

The people were funny, knowledgeable, and not full of themselves. That’s a huge plus for me.

When I find car enthusiasts that aren’t cocky, full of themselves, egotistical, and have the humor of a bus, I like listening and finding out more.

But that was the problem. I couldn’t find anyone who didn’t have those qualities except for maybe a few who posted videos every now and then.

Thankfully I found a channel called Donut Media. Based out of LA they have created a platform with well-researched topics, tool testing, DIY, technical research, and more.

I’ve been watching them for about two years now and they continue to hold my attention.

I would be at work and I would be watching/listening to them while I worked. I almost got caught a few times but it was totally worth it.

Plus one of the guys lived most of his life not too far from where I was raised. Maybe that’s a stupid reason, but I thought it was pretty cool.

My knowledge of motors, tool usage, car mods, and the history and origins of cars has expanded because of Donut Media.
